When it comes to first timers in the real estate world, the conversation is usually geared towards the first-time home buyers. But with the local real estate market being as strong as it is for sellers, it is time to talk to YOUthe first-time seller.

It is completely understandable and expected that you will have many questions. And luckily for you, I’m here to answer them! It is important to have the knowledge and experience of a qualified Realtor like myself to make your life as stress-free as possible during the entire process.

Here are 3 things to keep in mind as a first-time home seller:

  1. Pricing Matters – Yes, even in this crazy market, accurate pricing can be the ultimate key to selling your home. Although many homes are selling at a higher price due to the large demand, it is important that you remain in ‘the ballpark’ of comparable properties. I will provide you with the latest data and comprehensive reports including comparisons of recent nearby home sales that takes into consideration several factors like improvements, age, location and more.
  2. Home Staging – Looking to boost your selling power and appeal? Home staging is a great way to do so. Hiring professional home stagers is an important investment so that potential buyers are able to envision your home as their own. Even a simple coat of paint can be an immense addition to your selling power. Do not let dings in the woodwork or scraps on the walls make your home reflect deferred maintenance and allow any doubt into buyers’ minds.
  3. Be Flexible With Home Showings – Especially with today’s health concerns, it’s important to be flexible with home showings. To ensure the comfort and safety or everyone involved, virtual open houses and scheduled private tours have been extremely successful and efficient during the past year. They have also been helpful to showcase your home to out-of-town buyers. In-person showings do take place, but more time and effort have to be put in to the preparation for it to be a safe experience for all.

These three tips are just a small sampling of the information I provide my clients when selling their home. I provide my clients the highest level of service that allows them to focus on their priorities while I make their home my priority.
