Best Local Events in June

May 30, 2019

Clematis By Night – One of West Palm Beach’s favorite traditions is back! Starting on June 7, you can experience this great event every Thursday night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm through August 30.  Clematis By Night is held on the Intracoastal Waterway downtown WPB with weekly live music concerts along with mouth-watering food and drink specials from the hottest local social scene! The event is totally FREE and open to everyone.  For the complete season’s entertainment schedule, visit https://bit.ly/2YSw0sM

Screen on the Green – Another great family-friendly event happening on the second Friday of every summer month is Screen on the Green. The West Palm Beach waterfront transforms into a theater under the stars. The event begins with free activities and then a favorite movie on the huge blow-up screen!  Bring a blanket and/or chairs for your comfort, as well as any small picnic items you may want to snack on. You can also purchase popcorn, snacks and beverages from the on-site concession stands or local restaurants. For the summer lineup:  https://bit.ly/2WxvJxG

Soul Seafood Festival  – The official Summer Kickoff of Lake Worth takes place June 1 at the Soul Seafood Festival. Live entertainment, a Kids FunZone and an incredible array of some the most delectable seafood dishes made with a touch of soul.  The event will celebrate the rich cultural heritage from different musical genres and highlight the many local Soul and Seafood Restaurants specializing in Caribbean, Soul and Seafood delicacies. Explore local vendors that will include arts & crafts, health, wellness and a variety of goods and services. For tickets and more info, visit: https://www.soulseafoodfest.com

Father’s Day Celebrations – On June 16, we celebrate fatherhood and the wonderful men in our lives! There’s so much to do in the local area to show Dad how much he is appreciated.  The town of Jupiter is home to several fishing charters that will let Dad work for his dinner (in the most fun way he knows how). Boca Raton is hosting its 9th Annual Fathers Day Classic Car Show at Mizner Park that has fun for the entire family. If Dad loves beer, you can take him to one of several local breweries in Palm Beach County – NOBO in Boynton Beach will be releasing Dad QUAD, a high ABV Dark Belgian Strong Ale on Father’s Day.

Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival – Now in its 4th year, the VBWFF has been voted a Top 100 Best Reviewed Festival from over 4,000 festivals worldwide. Taking place June 6-9, the festival theme this year is “A Wide Lens on Life.” Filmmakers voted the VBWFF a Top 100 Best Reviewed Festival from among over 4000 festivals worldwide. This four-day festival will have you spinning (perhaps literally) from an overwhelming amount of food, wine and great entertainment!
