Start the New Year off right with these great happening in our local area this month!

 

South Florida Fair – For 110 years, over a half million visitors enjoy 17 fun filled days at the South Florida Fair. As one of Florida’s oldest and largest community events, fairgoers are entertained by first class stage shows, national concert performances, sensational midway rides, unique shopping and the best of fair food. Visitors can also experience the historic Yesteryear Village and the award winning Agriplex located within an 80,000-square foot Exposition Center. Winter Equestrian Festival – Once again the Village of Wellington will host the longest-running equestrian event in the world. As one of the largest annual sporting events in the Palm Beaches, the Winter Equestrian Festival attracts national and international athletes competing for prizes, readying for the Olympics, and beginning careers in equestrian. The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center is open to spectators Wednesday to Sunday between January 5 and April 3, 2022. Family Adventure Day – Experience a fun family day on the waterfront at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum on Saturday, January 15. Learn about the great history of our local area and our magnificent lighthouse, and all different types of nature on the Loxahatchee River. Celebrate this Family Adventure Day with arts & crafts, live music, fishing, food trucks and more from 10:00am to 3:00pm! This year’s event will offer unique and entertaining ways to explore the Lighthouse grounds and the ‘History Shaped By Nature’ exhibit with your family and friends. Twisted Tuna Seafood Festival

One of our local favorite restaurants – The Twisted Tuna – will host their second annual Seafood Festival on January 22 and January 23 at their Port Salerno location! Enjoy 2 full days of fresh seafood, cold drinks, live music & local vendors! Bring the whole family to enjoy this fantastic event which includes a Kids Zone with a wildlife exhibit, games and more! Chili Cookoff Challenge – The 5th Annual Chili Cook Off benefiting the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center takes place on Saturday, January 15 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at their location off Dixie Highway and Bridge Road. Attendees will enjoy live music, chili tasting, activities for the kids, and more! Experience the opportunity to sample the best chilis from local and CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International) chefs from all over competing for the title as best chili chef!
